All I can say is that I loved Keely and Jonah!! She is a super smart scientist. And the baby sister of his best friend. He is the sexy as sin rescue helicopter pilot that she's secretly crushed on forever. And as fate would see it, her resident knight in shining armor.

Ten years ago Jonah rescued Keely from certain death in the mountains and now he's rescued her again when her truck breaks down. Stranding her on the road. But he wasn't prepared for what he saw. Keely has grown up. And she's no longer the cute and nerdy little sister of his best friend. He can't believe how sexy and beautiful she is. But he's always saw the beauty in her. But she's Gabe's baby sister so that means off limits. No matter how much he wants her.

Jonah has grown to be more breathtaking than he was years before. But Keely knows nothing will ever be between them. She has no expert with men and with a man like Jonah she knows it will ever be. But as a sexy calendar fundraiser for the town becomes important and Jonah's dragging his feet to pose, Keely may just have to try and change his mind.

These two have so much chemistry and history together. As much as they fight this attraction the more impossible it becomes. Facing family scrutiny and an unexpected blessing becomes known, betrayal and fear may just year the apart. Loved this story so much and can't wait for more!!

Daring the Pilot Men of Marietta Book 3 edition by Jeannie Moon Romance eBooks Reviews

Without great writing or real depth of character or even a story with any kind of excitement (other than sex) this book is a real light weight. It could have gone deep in so many different ways. He's former military with baggage, she's an independent brainiac... there should have been more interest to their relationship, but it was all too easy. That is, until the obligatory break up happens. And it is for the stupidest reasons ever. And then everything is fine two pages later. The whole calendar plot got boring really fast, and the side characters were unnatural. annoying, and generally unnecessary. Keely's mother's reaction to her being in love was the goofiest thing, and the weird interaction with his mother was eyebrow pinching as well. And the plot with the kid in the cave felt so not really a part of the story--just tacked on to give Keely a reason to be mad at Jonah. And then there were actions that just made no sense. (They're having a picnic lunch and suddenly he grabs her wrists and rolls her to her back... Are they in the middle of the food now? How would grabbing her wrists make this move happen?) And while the story overall lacked depth, sometimes the author went off on details that had nothing to do with furthering the story (all of a sudden, she thinks about her father's cabinet shop and describes it in detail.) This book needed a good story editor, although I will say I didn't notice typos or grammatical errors.
who gives it all up for a man, a baby, and marriage. In that order. Maybe it's just me, but I'm a little tired of smart, well-educated, talented, female characters who are willing to compromise everything they have worked for because some guy is super good in bed. And the whole calendar/picture plot seems to me to be very similar to a Hallmark movie I saw a while back. (And if in fact the movie was based on this book, I apologize ) I thought the gay friend was pretty much an insulting stereotype and am befuddled as to why that character was even included. (Some of the other characters appear to be included as a set up for another book in the series -- which is pretty annoying.

The writing itself was just okay lots of cliches in the dialogue; and some confusing transitions in viewpoint. But on the other hand it's a fast read.
This one was all over the place.
I did make it all the way to the end, but sadly more because I was too lazy to look for something better and too stubborn about finishing books for my own good.
What annoyed me the most about Daring the Pilot was the discrepancy between how I was told the characters felt and how they acted. I don't think I've ever read anything like it before. At any given point in the book, a character could say/think something, and a few sentences later do something that was the complete opposite.
Jonah, the Hero, is described as "bad", but not once does he actually DO anything bad, or even semi-tough. On the contrary. He's kind and caring and a real sweetheart, even though he's kinda stupid.
Keely is, we're told, very intelligent, but still comes across as pretty stupid too. Or at least unreasonable, and I don't know which I find more annoying.
Complicated family dynamics are brought up and then discarded without proper resolutions. Plot points are introduced and then forgotten about and/or glanced over.
All in all, it was a mess and would have needed firm content editing.
This was an awesome story.
Jonah was a great alpha male character. He is a tough guy and a softie all in one. He gives so much to help and protect others. Keely is the nerdy little sister of Jonah's friend from high school. But she has grown up and there's definitely chemistry. I loved Keely's drive and her heart. She is so smart and caring. She and Jonah made such a great pair. I loved reading about them.
